Hey everyone,
Today I came across a story that stopped me in my tracks and reminded me why kindness — especially in the busiest of lives — still matters more than anything. It’s about a 15-year-old girl named Liv Perrotto, who fought cancer with incredible courage and never stopped dreaming about space, Tesla, anime, and one day talking to Elon Musk.

Liv’s biggest dream was to meet Elon and ask him all the questions swirling in her curious mind. Sadly, she passed away before that could fully happen. But in her final days, she wrote out a handwritten list of eight questions on cute Pusheen stationery and left it on her nightstand.

A few days before she passed, Liv even had the chance to take a call from Elon — but she was too weak and tired. She asked if he could call back later. That call never came in time, but her questions remained.
Then, yesterday, Elon saw the post. He replied directly, answering every single one of her questions thoughtfully and with care.

And for her final wish? He said yes.
Liv had designed an adorable Shiba Inu plush toy named Asteroid as a zero-gravity indicator for the Polaris Dawn mission. Her last question was simple and full of hope:
“Can you make Asteroid the mascot for SpaceX?”
Elon’s reply: “OK 😀”
Just like that, Asteroid is now the official mascot of SpaceX — a beautiful, lasting tribute that will fly with every mission and keep Liv’s spirit alive among the stars.

Her mom’s response broke my heart in the best way:
“Elon, from the bottom of my broken heart, thank you. You’ve kept my beautiful daughter Liv’s memory alive in the most extraordinary way.” ❤️
This story hits different. In a world full of noise, a busy CEO took the time to honor the final wishes of a young girl he’d never met. He didn’t have to. But he did. And in doing so, he gave a grieving mother a piece of healing she’ll carry forever.
Rest in peace, Liv. Your curiosity, creativity, and love for the stars will inspire so many. And thank you, Elon, for showing up when it mattered most.
What a beautiful reminder that even the smallest gestures can echo across the universe.
If this story touched you too, feel free to share it. Let’s keep Liv’s light shining.
