In 1993, she settled in Melbourne and took a short-term job at a motel, but life soon became incredibly difficult, and she ended up living on the streets for nine years.
During those hard times, Nicole discovered comfort in a nearby music shop, where she would often play the piano. At first, passersby were surprised to see an older woman at the keys, with some even laughing. But as soon as she played, any skepticism vanished, replaced by awe at her undeniable talent.
Today, Nicole enchants hotel guests with her piano performances in a prestigious Melbourne hotel lobby, while still visiting her favorite music shop from time to time simply to play for joy. Her love for music has never faded.
